Drilling Modules
SLP has a significant track record in the fabrication and commissioning of drilling facilities, drill derricks and substructures.
SLP has performed these projects in a number of contractual arrangements, ranging from the traditional method to single point responsibility and Alliance.
SLP was a member of the Britannia Alliance, with prime responsibility for drilling module fabrication. SLP was a major contributor to the Britannia development where an Alliance approach to the development was taken and stretch targets on the overall approach of Alliance partnering achieved good performances and cost savings in engineering and construction activities. The Britannia Alliance won the "Best Practice Award" as sponsored through the British Construction Industry Awards in 1999.
SLP place particular emphasis on ensuring that all projects are 100% complete and commissioned at sailout including drilling a temporary borehole. Projects managed in a traditional manner as previously stated were all pre-commissioned by SLP.
