SLP Precast and Colourtone’s ‘Symbolic’ division was initially established to provide a durable, light resistant material to be used as part of the regeneration plans for Blackpool’s sea front. As a result the team developed tough resins which are made up of a combination of two components; liquid polymers that have been developed for industrial floors and finish lacquers that have been developed for the automotive industries. When fully cured these resins produce hard, dimensionally stable, durable castings which have an extremely high resistance to weathering and UV light.
When cast, the design is 25mm deep and put into the concrete, so if damaged in any way a light grinding or polishing will bring them back to their original condition. The manufacture technique and materials used ensure that we can offer a wide variety of UV stable colours which can be reproduced in any size or shape.
